Save the Cheerleader are a five-piece pop-punk band from Somerset built on a simple idea: the music you loved growing up still deserves to be played loud. Formed by a group of lifelong music fans who never quite grew out of pop-punk, the band blends punchy original songs with a set of nostalgic covers from the era that defined a generation of guitar bands.
Influenced by the early-2000s wave of pop-punk and alternative rock, Save the Cheerleader lean into big hooks, energetic guitars, and the kind of songs that are made to be shouted back from the crowd. The band is currently gearing up for their first run of live shows and recording projects, with new music and plenty of noise on the way. At its core, Save the Cheerleader isn’t about chasing youth, it’s about proving that great songs, loud guitars, and a bit of chaos never really go out of style.
The Band
Save the Cheerleader is made up of five musicians. Scott (Vocals), Ryan (Guitar), Gary (Guitar), Nick (Bass), Keith (Drums)
Together they bring a mix of influences, questionable life experience, and a shared love of pop-punk that refuses to grow up.
If you like your pop-punk fast, loud, and played by people old enough to remember dial-up internet, you’ll probably feel right at home.
